The need for connection and community is primal

It’s as fundamental as the need for air, water, and food…

Have you ever felt anxious, stressed or the need to be in control? Perhaps that sense of pressure is habitual. Your life is full but it is not rich. It may not be as clear as that, you might feel a wave of emotion that you cannot name; a sense of malaise.

Do you try and ignore it or throw yourself into your work or a hobby hoping it will dissipate of its own accord. Or perhaps you find yourself at those times looking for a fix? Perhaps you binge on social media, engage in retail therapy, sign up for some new course or reach for the wine to dull the pain or allow you to relax more. And for a while everything feels better but it is only a matter of time before the feeling returns.

As humans we are relational beings who thrive on connection. We yearn to be seen, heard, accepted and understood. Imagine what it would feel like to be part of a circle where everyone’s contribution was valued. Where conversations allowed you to get beyond the surface to the root of things.

A space where you could show up as your whole self whatever that looked like; a place where the energy felt so good that spending time there made you feel alive. It sounds simple and yet it is created consciously and with intention. All my life has been about creating community and being part of one and nurturing my whole self was what got me through the loss of my best friend and my former business. From there I started to feel such aliveness and now I want to help create that magic for more people.

What are Conscious Conversations?

Consciouse Conversations is a container in which allows us to grow by showing up and being real. We meet twice a month so we can heal, grow and open our hearts more. There is wisdom in your wounds and it’s important to find a space where those can be witnessed and honoured so you can let go of what no longer serves you. This is the way we expand, increase the light in our being so we vibrate at a higher consciousness more of the time.

Colour is a fabulous way to facilitate increased awareness. The photo at the top is a wave as water represents the flow of emotions and most of our issues come from unprocessed emotional trauma within our body. Orange can represent both trauma and bliss; and gold represents being your authentic self which comes when you let go the need for control.

The offer

Currently we meet online twice a month to meditate and experience conscious, colourful conversation. In the first session of the month we tune into the energy of the month so that you can be prepared for what is coming. What I create is a safe space for you to explore and expand your consciousness. My yearning comes out of a fascination for building community that extends over 30 years during which time I have absorbed many different experiences of this life having spent time at both Iona and Findhorn. I know the power of the collective.

I can guarantee that membership of this community will have a ripple effect. When you feel nourished, you are able to expand and bring more of your whole self to everything you do. Emotionally you will find yourself opening your heart more as you become more conscious in every moment and this will lead to more abundance and more magic in your life. In practical terms, I see these benefits:

  1. The conversations will lead to new connections and opportunities you could not have imagined beforehand
  2. These regular top ups will recharge you and fill you with in-sights so you are able to be of service to others
  3. As a thank you for your support to me you get discounted rates on colour bottles, essences and any programmes and retreats that I run

What to expect….

One of my mantra’s is creation’s gentleness is all I see. The principles on which this circle is based are:

  • No one needs fixing because everyone is naturally creative, resourceful and whole
  • Less is more – the format is intentionally simple so that participants can show up and be present
  • The intention is to allow vulnerability by recognising our fragility, being curious, through contemplation & compassion for it all
  • Meeting in a circle allows you the space to grow at your own rate

Don’t take my word read what one of the founding members thinks:

It is difficult to know where to start with writing a testimonial for Conscious Conversations; there are so many levels and layers to this wonderfully inspiring space.  In the first instance, it has given me a new set of friends and the fact that some of them are in different parts of the world makes the connection so much richer.

Each meeting brings about the opportunity to discuss different topics and emotions, ask questions, share knowledge, be supportive and to make each other laugh.  I honestly can’t remember when Conscious Conversations started.  I feel it has always been here and is an important event on my calendar.

Our community shares so much and we have grown together over the years.  This is all down to Kate’s inspiring words, colour knowledge, meditations, incredible insight and her, oh so accurate, interpretation and understanding of what we all feel and share during our meetings.

Kate has created a virtual hub where people who have a place to feel themselves, free from interruption, be open to receiving love and knowledge and in a world of intensity, pressure and social media, it is the perfect venue.

FAQs

What’s the investment?

Consider this a gym membership for the soul

£44 per month

To check what this is in your currency, click here.

If you work for yourself this could be a tax deductible expense – check with your accountant. You can either pay monthly or annually. If you pay for a full year then it is only £440.

Why am I paying £44 for two conversations a month?

This is actually incredible value because the offer is so much more than a conversation. It is like going to the gym for your spirit and mind. You may not feel like it at the time but you feel much better afterwards. Having researched other similar offerings, the going rate is between £70 and £1,700 per month. And there’s so much more than the fortnightly connection. You get special rates on all colour bottles and spritzers; along with discounted rates on all my own workshops and retreats.

Who will I meet?

You can expect to meet other like-hearted souls, currently women between the ages of 35-70. Many are leaders and coaches doing “world work” who have deep emotional awareness and a desire to be of service so that they can create even more impact. To ensure that there is a real sense of safety and space for intimate sharing, membership of the community is vetted. Currently all members are women.

Who are you and why should I trust you?

I’m Kate Griffiths, who qualified as a Co-Active Coach in 2008 and then in 2015 went on to become an ORSC (Organisation and Relationship Systems Coach) systems worker. I have worked with hundreds of people in a mix of individual one to one coaching and workshop formats.

My gift is kindness coupled with fierce love. This allows the softening of my heart so when I need to call out the inconsistencies that I witness, I do so with love and compassion, rather than coming from the anger of the wounded self. I choose to bring healing wielding my sword with laser precision and humbly acknowledge that I am a work in progress.

What can I expect to gain from being a member of one of your groups?

The opportunity to explore whatever emerges in the space. The path to consciousness is about working on your own stuff; whatever it is that triggers you. The more light you hold, the deeper the shadow. The dark feminine is where our power lies so don’t deny it, start to embrace it by moving towards your shadow and integrating it. One of the fastest ways to come to wholeness is through being part of a group because the company of others become a mirror that can show us what we have not yet accepted about ourselves. What I can promise you is that this is a safe place for you to explore and grow and the core membership have been with the community for over three years!

When does the community meet?

The first & third Wednesday of the month at 8.30pm UK time. This is the best time as we are a global group with members in Australia, Namibia, the US and the UK.

If you have any other questions that you would like answered before signing up then do submit them below and I will get back to you:

    What did you expect beforehand?

I didn’t really know what to expect when Kate told me more about the Awaken to more joy and wisdom series as the whole concept of meditating was new to me. That said I am a naturally curious person who’s open to new things and I trusted Kate. I thought that she was like-minded.

What’s fascinating is that I am a person who likes control and I felt completely out of control and after a while I realised that it was nice to give the control to someone else.  I felt out of control because although I trusted Kate, I didn’t know if there was anything in it.  Normally I would be quite head based and ask for the evidence.  I decided to leave that out of the equation. I guess I was prepared to give it a go because it did not feel like a big risk.

What did you love about the series?

What I loved about the whole experience was the structure and the consistency that came with meeting the same people week after week. Kate made me feel safe and confident to show up as my self – it was so natural. I loved three things about it: the people, the content and the timing.  At the macro level, Covid has  taken its toll and I was ready to try something new.  At the micro level, the timing was excellent.  It was in evening, after a long day and so pre-empted a good sleep.

What changed as you went through?

Now I feel even more curious which is a delight in itself.   It’s such a lovely genuine feeling. I have a desire to learn more but a sense that there’s no need to do anything about it immediately: this represents a massive step change.  Normally have to do something about it immediately and that whole process would stress me out.  Kate personified gentleness and that approach has rubbed off on me.  I can leave everything to to the Universe and it will be right at the right time – I don’t need to take on the whole burden myself. Each week there was a different theme and now I feel an enhanced sense of well being, calm and acceptance.  I used to be very hard on myself especially in the evenings when nothing’s happening.  Now I can pick up one of Kate’s meditations or got back into it or spray myself with my colour spritzer and change state.  The spritzer takes me back to when I was calm, accepting and concerned with my own well being and enjoying life.  It sends me back into a spiritual place.

    What were the biggest results?

    1.  Life doesn’t have to be as tough as it seems.  You can reenergise and refresh in moments if you know what to do

    2.     You are not alone and it was wonderful to meet people I have never met before and I felt connected as we enjoyed similar whereas in the pandemic we have lost our sense of belonging

Would you recommend these meditation series to others?

Absolutely it’s a no brainer.  I have changed the way I think from what’s the worst that can happen to what’s the best to happen.  A word of advice: it’s best to come with an open mind and be curious and to commit to the process.  My measure of success is that I got to a point where I didn’t want to miss out on one as I would wonder what am I missing?  It’s a great opportunity and very light touch that has its own validity.  It’s a lovely introduction to developing a regular meditation practice.
