Recently I have been involved in a lot of conversations about the meaning of lockdown and the urgency with which we have to create a new way of being.  I find them invigorating and agree with the essence of what is being said whilst fundamentally disagreeing with some of the conclusions drawn. And yet the whole process is such a gift because it has helped me get clear on what’s important to me.

We can talk about changing the world but to me that feels like an insurmountable task.  What is possible is to become the change we want to see in the world.  For the month of July I am trialling a new social media platform called MeWe which is an advert free zone and is not involved in the political controversies that Facebook finds itself in.  Why not come and find me there?  I also like MeWe because it has the feel of the village green which is missing on LinkedIn.

As a consumer you have power & choices

Just with small actions like this we can change the way our world looks.  Think about it for a moment – if every business that uses Facebook ads stopped doing that for the month of July to show solidarity for #blacklivesmatter and then never went back, Facebook would lose much of its revenue and its days would be numbered.  This is the power we have as consumers.

How do you know what action to take?  Pema Chodron says Meditation is a process of trusting the basic goodness of what we have and who we are, and of realising that any wisdom that exists, exists in what we already have.

Are you ready to take the red pill & break free?

Most people find this hard because until you do the inner work, the beliefs that drive you were those that you were programmed with up until the age of 7.  The Matrix, one of my favourite films of all time, is really an allegory for life as experienced by most people. Neo the main protagonist discovers that reality as he understands it is actually a complex computer simulation called the Matrix. In the film to wake up, he takes the red pill.

Today you can break free from that reality of drudgery otherwise know as subconscious programming through meditation.  When you add colour into the mix, you just deepen the experience.  As Osho explains Touch your inner space, which is nothingness, as silent and empty as the sky; it is your inner sky. once you settle down in your inner sky, you have come home, and a great maturity arises in your actions, in your behaviour. Then whatever you do has grace in it.

Meditation activates consciousness

These are the reasons why I am running a series of heart connection top ups – five over the next 10 weeks starting on Monday.  It doesn’t matter if you cannot make it to the live sessions because they are all recorded and you the feeling of connection to the group heart energy is palpable.

It’s all about leading your life to become more awake to who you are rather than trying to improve or change or get rid of who we are or what we’re doing. The key is to wake up, so you feel the aliveness and become curious about yourself AND your connection with others.  So click here to find out more and to register and join us.

The time to wake up is now
