A 4 day digital detox in nature will expand your energy. This is Cae Mabon.

Can you feel the magic of this place? It has been described as a Welsh Shangri-La and the most druid-like place in the world.  When you cross a little wooden bridge at its heart there is a sign that says please make way for the faeries. And I actually discovered a faerie dell with seats made out of wood for them and next to ones for humans. Check out my insta post to see those photos.  I spent at least 30 minutes in that special circle and it was heavenly.  I have shared this photograph with you instead because it contains the dwelling in which I stayed: the prime location next door to the hot tub and the facilities.  As you can see it looks like a hobbit house and one of the buildings actually had a round green door so it felt like you were entering Bilbo’s home!

Experiencing bliss

Once a year go somewhere you have never been before

When was the last time you went somewhere you have never been before? I ask because I have just returned from Cae Mabon, an eco village retreat which is known as the number one natural building project in the UK.  I can sense the expansion in my energy field; it’s as if I am floating on air.  I so needed that time to recharge.  Even a number of my clients have been encouraging me to go for it.

Why is going away difficult?

If like me the value of money was drilled into you as a child, it can be really challenging to spend a lot of money on yourself.  As an example when I was 11 I was given a little notebook and £5 a term to spend whilst at boarding school.  I had to account for every penny in my book so it tallied and show my father in the holidays.  I had to get quite creative in the Autumn term as I worked out what I could buy my friends for Christmas without seeming mean. And that experience has stayed with me. In fact my mother commented recently how good I am with money. And yet right next to our strength is our weakness. Sometimes I can be a bit of a hoarder and letting go of that learnt behaviour and going for it has been a liberating as well as challenging experience. I thank Luna Gladman, who brought this energy to my attention when she did a tarot reading for me recently and helped me to commit to this time away. It’s a great way to get clarity on a situation so do reach out to her if that is calling you.

1. Our relationship to money is emotional

I have worked with a couple of clients recently who have told me that they hate money.  In both cases they struggle to accrue it/ keep it when they have it.  This is because money is a form of energy and so your attitude to money especially if you have a poverty mindset will impact what shows up in your world. When we start working with the enlightened chakras at the end of May, we will consider this aspect to heal any root chakra issues and we may well explore it on my forthcoming retreat

2. Feeling the fear

When I arrived at Cae Mabon it was clear that around 60% or more of the participants on the workshop knew each other from participating in other programmes run by Shakti Tantra.  There was a moment when I wondered if I had made the right decision to attend especially when I appeared to be the last to arrive and I had lost my hub cap on the way in!

Any feeling you have, you tend to add an interpretation that masks the underlying sensations by saying something like I feel left out/ rejected by the group.  In the example I gave above the raw emotion was fear, which subsided quickly as everyone was very welcoming.  These kinds of fears can stop you signing up for a programme.  The first step to change is recognising the underlying emotion and then allowing yourself to be with it so you can release it.  Something that we did in a very powerful way at Cae Mabon and I will be bringing my own version of that in a colour exercise at the face to face retreat.  This is one of the ways to heal sacral chakra issues.

3. Stepping out of your comfort zone

Over the last four days there were times when I felt very uncomfortable.  I experienced things that were totally new for me and that were challenging to do in front of group however lovely. Improvisation requires us to be truly spontaneous and that can bring us up against some of our edges.

Needing to be in control often comes out of a fear of losing control and being at the mercy of others.  Most of us do not want to feel helpless and often will do anything to stop from feeling vulnerable. These are very much solar plexus issues so with my forthcoming course we will be exploring how you can drop more into your body and recognise its innate wisdom.

What does this mean for me?

As I go through this week and the rest of the year, I am choosing to remember how going away twice during my birthday month was just what I needed.  And the Universe has confirmed that financially as two new clients start this week and two further clients want to start in the next month. In my experience working with money, you can’t wait until you have enough money to invest in your mental and emotional health.  Just like the fool you have to take the leap even if it means your overall funds are then lower than normal.  When you trust the Universe/ the Divine to provide what you need, it will come up trumps. You just have to get out of your own way. If appropriate we will do an exercise during the programme where you can work with your ego rather than beating it up or annihilating it.

What does this mean for you?

Always remember you see the world as you are not as it is. And one of the best ways to expand your seeing is to take yourself off to somewhere you have never been to before; and to do something that is outside your experience of the world.  This will bring up your edges and possibly even trigger you.  And if you can allow yourself to be with your pain, you have the opportunity to find the gift wrapped within it.  So you may be new to colour and have all kinds of questions about how it works. That’s normal. I invite you to consider activating your rainbow bridge and jumping into the unknown with both feet. I promise you that you won’t regret it. Take the first step, reach out and explore what this could mean for you. I am always happy to answer your questions.

When did you last stop completely?
